Our emphasis is on establishing discipline, respect and courtesy in each student. This concept is built into every aspect of Tae Kwon Do instruction through the positive reinforcement of
Martial Arts protocol.
|
Our program builds confidence and character by providing students with control over their bodies, and developing their ability to stand up to peer pressure and other intimidating situations. The movements of Tae Kwon Do develop coordination and increase both strength and flexibility.
The awarding of higher levels of Tae Kwon Do belts gives students a sense of achievement. We keep this very much in mind because of the length of the time for achieving belts can be from 3 to 4 months. We award a stripe on the belts as a progress check between each belt level. These stripes are given for there physical skills and there mental skills as well. Training for these tests and passing them enhances students' ability to concentrate, set goals and triumph over learning hurdles.
Our Tae Kwon Do instruction also involves free style competition (sport).
This helps to develop a sense of fair play in a controlled competitive situation.
The foundation of Tae Kwon Do is its self-defense value. We are very careful to teach everyone that Tae Kwon Do is not to be used outside the classroom
in any manner other than true self-defense. The result is a self-confident person who does not need to be a bully or to show off to others. We believe strongly in the value of our program for all ages.
Kimling's Academy programs are fun for children, teens and adults of all
ages and a great way to burn off extra energy and to reduce stress.
