Kickboxing, also referred to as boxing aerobics and cardio kickboxing, is a hybrid of boxing, martial arts and aerobics that offers an intense cross-training and total-body workout.

It blends a mixture of high-power exercise routines that strengthen the body and mind, decrease stress and tone reflexes while increasing endurance and cardiovascular power.

In addition to burning calories and fat, because you’ll be working on a bag, you also get resistance training in every class which will help you to tone up and have that chiseled physique. The explosive, upbeat cardiovascular workout emphasizes footwork, body mechanics, punching and kicking combinations and basic offensive and defensive techniques. It is a fun, challenging, and great way to stay in shape and improve overall physical fitness. You’ll also learn some self-defense skills and increase your overall confidence.

This is not contact kickboxing where you’re sparring an opponent. Each class is a high-energy workout combining warm-up, a cardiovascular workout with combinations of punches and kicks and then an exhilarating heavy bag workout where you can pound out all of your frustrations!

Cardio Resistance is a resistance class which may require you to bring some equipment to class. Speak with an instructor prior to class to determine if there are special needs.

Babysitting is available Monday-Friday at the 8:30 and 9:30 am classes.
